For those of us who live in the northern parts of the United States, winter with horses means frozen water buckets, blankets, taking layers of clothing on and off several times a day, being unable to ride or drive for days or even weeks. These days, more and more people are finding ways to head south with their horses and ponies. Some go for a week, some a month, and many now spend the ‘season’ – from December through March – in Florida.
